Clouds - Above the ground or on the ground?

Introduction

SESSION 1: In the first session, the students will learn about:

  1. What are clouds?
  2. How are clouds formed?
  3. Types of clouds

SESSION 2: In this session, the students will use the knowledge acquired in session 1 and relate to the following:

  1. What is the importance of clouds?
  2. What is the water cycle/ rain cycle?
  3. What is Land Breeze and Sea Breeze!

SESSION 3: With all the knowledge from session 1 and 2 the students will apply that and make their own clouds at home with a very few materials which are easily available at home.

Course Details

  • STEM : SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHS
  • SCIENCE: WE WILL LEARN ABOUT THE TYPES OF CLOUDS
  • ENGINEERING: WILL MAKE OUR OWN CLOUD USING EASILY AVAILABLE OBJECTS AT HOME.

SCIENCE: The science part is Nephology which is the study of clouds. The students will learn about the various types of clouds, their formation.

 

TECHNOLOGY: The technology is to use the available technology like internet, surfing various websites and finding out a way to learn more about clouds or even learn how to make an animated clip of the clouds.

 

ENGINEERING: The engineering is how the students will learn to use their knowledge and create a model of the clouds.

 

MATHEMATICS: The mathematics is how the students will learn to relate various shapes of the clouds and use the concepts of mathematics to make a model of clouds.
